Ingredients:
- Cut up Bhindi – 2 cups
- Onion – 1 small onion
- Zeera (cumin seeds) – ½ tsp
- Red chillies – 3-4 Whole dried red chilies
- Salt – ½ tsp (according to taste)
- Haldi (turmeric) – ¼ tsp
- Oil – 2 tbs
- Imli (tamarind) paste – 1 tbs (optional)
- Tomato – 1 (optional)
Method:
- Sauté the sliced onion till light brown.
- Add Zeera, salt, Haldi, Bhindi and chilies.
- Cover and cook on low heat till soft. Do not add water. Remember not to stir so much otherwise it will breakup.
- To check if done, stir. When the sticky texture disappears, it’s done.
- Serve hot with chapati.
