Ingredients:
- Butter – 1 cup
- Brown sugar – 2 cups
- Corn syrup – 1/2 cup
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Baking soda – 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
- Popped popcorn – 5 quarts
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 250°.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt in pan and bring to a boil.
- After 4-5 minutes of boiling, remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla essence.
- Carefully pour mixture over popcorn, which is on baking/aluminium sheets and cook for about one hour.
- Let cool completely before storing the finished homemade caramel popcorn in an airtight container for fresh keeping.
